Parshat Matot-Masai

Sweetest Friends,

Attached is the this weeks TWO installments of The Written Shu-Shine, on the double Torah portions of:

’Matot’: What are YOU doing here?

’Masai’: Train Stops & Destinations

Quote of the Week, a preview from this week’s Sichah

“What Moshe understood is that each and every one of us is here for a reason. Life is not a random event or a random series of events. We exist for purpose, each and every one of us.What Moshe most wanted out of life was to fulfill that purpose. It was to fulfill that which he was here to do. And all the trappings and all the glory and all the honor and all the crowns and all the prestigious activities that he might or might not be engaged in, those were not the point. The point was to fulfill his role, being that eved ne’eman, that faithful servant. For Moshe, when G-d said, “You have one more job to do and then your job will be done,” that was fine. Yes, we’re meant to seize life, to choose life. But choosing life is not about trying to hold onto that which we can’t hold onto, which we don’t have control over. It’s about choosing to live meaningfully, purposefully."

Wishing everyone the highest Shabbat!

With love and smile,

~Shu
